Sony Pictures lancerer næste måned 8 gratis, reklamefinansierede streamingkanaler i blandt andet Danmark. Kanalerne bliver tilgængelige via LG og Samsung Smart TV.
At valget er faldet på konkurrenternes TV-platforme er bemærkelsesværdigt, men Sony Pictures siger, at det er en del af en strategi om at gøre indholdet "tilgængeligt for alle, uanset hvor de er".

Vores indtræden på FAST (Free Ad-supported Streaming TV, red) i Europa afspejler vores dedikation til at lave premium indhold tilgængeligt for publikum på nye og vigtige distributionskanaler," sagde Pete Wood, SVP, Digital Sales, Distribution, SPE.
De 8 gratis reklamefinansierede streamingkanaler bliver tilgængelige i lokale udgaver i Danmark, Storbritannien, Frankrig, Italien, Tyskland, Spanien, Sverige, Norge og Finland.
Sony Pictures oplyser, at der sendes på lokalt sprog, men det er uklart, hvad der menes, idet de fremhævede titler alle er engelske.
Sony One kanaler
Sony Pictures oplyser, at kanalerne bliver tilgængelige via LG Channels, Samsung TV Plus og TiVo+. Det er gratistjenester i stil md Pluto TV. I Danmark findes LG Channels som app til LGs webOS Smart TV, mens Samsung TV Plus findes som app til Samsungs Tizen Smart TV.
De 8 kanaler, der lanceres i april, er:

Sony One Action HITS: Dedicated to action and adventure movies from box office hits to critically acclaimed films like District 9 and the Men in Black and Zombieland franchises, that provide a non-stop thrill ride.
